Alphas - Two showings on Monday nights
There are going to be two showings of Alphas on Monday nights now, starting next Monday with episode 2.05 Gaslight. Watch the Alphas episode on Syfy at 8/7c (right before Warehouse 13) or you can tune in at its regular time at 10/9c. Take your pick!
There is no re-run of previous episodes and no definitive change of time slot either...for now, simply more opportunities to watch a new episode.
Syfy schedule also mentions a re-run (of the new episode) at 12pm, as it has always been the case in the past.
The reason of these multiple time slots is probably that Monday August 13th marked the return of the popular series Grimm to NBC (the show has been moved from last season’s Friday time slot to a new Monday at 10pm spot). As a consequence, Grimm took away some of Alphas viewers (see Alphas latest ratings in the forum).
Syfy executives probably think there should be less competition at 8pm and that the ratings will rebound.

If the test is conclusive, i guess this new time slot will become permanent.
At the moment, this is the only way to keep the show on air.
