The Age is a daily broadsheet newspaper which has been published in Melbourne, Australia since 1854. They recently had a nice phone conversation with Summer Glau.
Supanova Pop Culture Expo is to be held this weekend (April 13-15 2012) in Melbourne and next weekend (April 20-22) on the Gold Coast. Summer said that she likes going to fan conventions for many reasons, but one of the main reason is that she gets the opportunity to say thank you, to the people who have supported her career. She also talks about how she finds an imaginative connection with her characters, she says that for some reason the characters that she often plays like killer robots and misfit geniuses are more comfortable for her than playing the girl next door.

- Summer will make another guest appearance on Syfy's "Alphas". Also, she said the tattoos she had on were fake.
- "Scent of the Missing" has not been picked up yet.
- Summer revealed she auditioned for a part in "Black Swan", but then, the character got cut in the pre-production stages.

I'll get my photo with her up soon. I gave her one of my "Pet Projects" comics (one that referenced Firefly). She loved it.
Funny moment. A fan gave her a cupcake. Summer picked it up, sniffed it, and reacted as though the cupcake smelled bad. It was hard to tell if she was being serious, or just kidding.
Before the show had started, as I was making my way to TCC, heading up the stairs, I spotted SUmmer on her way in, surrounded by a few other girls. I assume they were friends, or some lucky fans that happened to run into her.

The official Twitter account of Legend of Hell's Gate announced the release dates for the movie.
Video OnDemand starts April 3rd at some cable providers May 1st and there will be a DVD/BluRay release from Lionsgate June 5th.
Legend of Hell's Gate hits following theaters in the beginning of April:
- Rialto-Denison,TX
- Cinema 1&2-Snyder,TX
- Atlanta Film Festival,GA
- Austin Film Society,TX
- National Theater-Graham,TX.
There will be a special red carpet premiere screening on March 31st in Snyder, Texas the director of the movie Tanner Beard and selected cast/crew will be at the Cinema 1&2. It has also been confirmed that cast members will attend Atlanta Film Festival April 1st.
Summer Glau will probably not attend the screenings considering that she will be at Emerald Comicon in Seattle on those exact dates.

According to the Legend of Hell's Gate twitter the movie been selected to be shown in the 2012 International Film Festival Western de Almeria
The Andalusian (Spain) village of Tabernas is to host the festival between 8-11th September.
