Those scenes( from which your avatar is) were priceless. Summer played this shy, naive but super cute girl and that was a special non-River scene when I just wanted to hug Summer so much Interesting that her clothes and the glasses supposed to make her look ugly( so Caroline can later make her more beautiful with her cosmetic knowledge) but in the case of Summer it only gave her an unusual charm. You can't make Summer ugly easily as it seems. Same happened in Initation of Sarah. When Summer was supposed to be ugly that simply broke my suspension of disbelief

She's so cute in the past scenes, the shy, naive student who is easily influenced by a a stronger character. She is absolutely adorable in her glasses, I haven't seen that movie yet but it's next in my list

I'd also recommend Deadly Honeymoon if you haven't seen it yet. I don't like honeymoons and love stories in movies and shows but I pleasantly surprised with this one and Summer is fantastic in it!

The Viewers club was fantastic in that it let everybody discover new or missed Summer shows and movies, if only it would work finally

Yeah I've seen deadly honeymoon I'd give it a 7/10 for the story and I can't even rate Summer's performance cause as usual she was amazing, and it was great getting to seeing her play this kind of character, your so used to seeing her playing the innocent non relationship character e.g River and Cameron. Also she's a bitch in this movie. Although I did guess the ending like 5 minutes into the movie, but overall a good watch and id watch it again

Indeed. And thats why I use DHM as the ultimate reference point when a question about the range of Summers character repertoire comes up.

She is indeed more used to play the damaged super-powered barely or not at all human characters who can be considered as generally good guys. Then we have DHM where Summer plays a simple human who is married, with normal emotions in a genre she has never visited before. And she is not even a good guy in it, she is a complete bitch and is the completely opposite of Summers other characters and herself.

But the unnerving part is that she played her just as fantastically as her other characters, like if she's always done this through her entire career. Its an amazing feat and I have no doubt that it doesn't really matter what she plays, as long as she is willing to play a role she will always be fantastic in it. Because she is a fantastic actress who is doing art, not just somebody who is in for the fame despite having no talents at all.

I agree. Her ability to change movie genre is amazing, when she gets a role she puts everything she has into that rule. I admire her for her dedication to her charcaters. To be honest she scared me in deadly honeymoon with her ability to be such a bitch! It's fantastic movie and it shows her flexibility as an actress. I'm very excited to see her Knights of Badassdom

Because i feel i have responsabilities towards the Summer Glau Wiki and its members, this is why i try (not always succeed) to have a moderate opinion.
