Creative contest website Worth1000 asked their contributing artists what celebs would look like if Japanese cartoons were actually realistic.

The entries to this contest featured celebrities like Harry Potter, Kate Perry, Liv Tyler and many more.

FX Show 2006, Florida

Summer Glau and Alan Tudyk attented FX (Florida eXtravaganza) Show, a sci-fi, comic book, and designer toy show held from 27 to 29 January 2006 in Orlando. Here's a pictural report of the convention.

Illustrations by Jason Palmer

Illustrator Jason Palmer loves Sci-Fi and its characters. Not only does he draw like-looking portraits but he also takes good care of capturing the personalities of the characters and it gives his stunning illustrations a feeling that he "gets" them the way we would have expected.

Besides his work on Star Wars, TSCC or Indiana Jones, Palmer has completed several limited-edition licensed Firefly/Serenity art prints that you can get through SerenityPrint.com (also on t-shirts) or catch him at his booth on conventions.

Summer at Dallas Comic Con

Summer Glau has been announced as final guest for Dallas Comic Con, held May 19-20, 2012 at the Irving Convention Center 500 W Las Colinas Blvd Irving , TX.

"We are very happy to announce the addition of our last DCC guest for this summer convention..... How about a round of applause for Firefly, Serenity, Terminator, BigBang Theory, SUMMER GLAU!"

Summer is coming both days, Saturday and Sunday (see hours below); along with her presence at the Exhibit Hall (1st floor) for the autograph session, Summer will have a panel at 1:00pm on the main stage (4th floor Grand Ballroom).

You can get an autograph at her signing table for $40. Photos with Summer will be made at her table for a fee (price to be determined).

EVENT HOURS

Saturday 11:00am - 7:00pm,

Sunday 11:00am - 4:00pm.

TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE CONVENTION.

Saturday $25.00,

Sunday $20.00.

Kids ages 5-12 $5.00,

Some might be surprised by such a late announcement that don't left much time to plan a trip to Dallas but due to new film commitments, Kristanna Loken (Terminator 3) was no longer able to attend the Dallas Comic Con.

We will update the informations on the dedicated forum thread.

TNT has not yet picked up Scent of the Missing

We might have to wait a little longer to find out if Scent of the Missing is picked up by TNT.

Tricia Helfer gave us an exclusive information via Twitter today :

@chrisdvanne Unfortunately we're going to have to wait longer to find out now. Possibly end of June.

This may be due to the fact that TNT plans to shoot a few more procedural pilots and will make a decision after reviewing all of them; it's not clear if L.A. Noir will be evaluated on its own or if SotM is competing with it for a time slot.

TNT/TBS UpFronts, where networks announce their programm schedule for next tv season, are due on Wednesday May 16th, 2012 at Hammerstein Ballroom, 311 West 34th St.; 9:30 a.m.

But according to Tricia Helfer's tweet, TNT would not make a decision on Scent of the Missing at the UpFronts.

Alphas season two premieres on Monday, July 23 at 10 pm

Syfy's Senior Vice President Craig Engler confirmed via Twitter that the premiere date for Alphas season two is Monday, July 23 at 10 pm.

In Syfy's action-packed hit drama series, an unlikely team of ordinary people with superhuman physical and mental abilities - known as Alphas - takes on mysterious cases the CIA, FBI and Pentagon are unable to solve and go head-to-head with criminal Alphas.

Season 2 picks up eight months after last year's finale with the stage set for an explosive turn of events at the Binghamton facility (the Guantanamo of the Alpha world) that could have devastating, far-reaching consequences. Dr. Lee Rosen (Emmy Award-winner and Academy Award-nominee David Strathairn), having exposed the existence of Alphas to the unsuspecting public, finds himself discredited and imprisoned by a government desperate to cover up his revelation. The rest of the core team has disbanded and some, without Rosen's guidance and care, have regressed to their old, destructive ways. They must now battle their individual demons in order to reunite and try to save their own.

Alphas also stars Malik Yoba, Warren Christie, Azita Ghanizada, Ryan Cartwright and Laura Mennell. Erin Way (Detroit 187, Private Practice) joins the cast this season as "Kat" a mysterious young loner whose Alpha ability allows her to pick up any skill at a glance. But while her skills are permanent, her personal memories are short-lived. The series is produced by Universal Cable Productions and BermanBraun Television with executive producers Bruce Miller, Gail Berman, Lloyd Braun, Gene Stein and Zak Penn. Penn and co-executive producer Michael Karnow are series creators.
